Director, ICCC Montreal
Born and raised in Montreal by a French-Canadian mother and an Irish-Canadian father, Carol is active in both business and community functions. A graduate from Concordia University in Communication Arts, she brings many years of experience in advertising, public relations and communication.
Carol’s first foray into the business world was in international advertising agencies such as Ogilvy Mather, head office in London, England, Cockfield Brown and Spitzer Mills and Bates. Her experiences there brought her into a directorship position for a Toronto-based company that opened a Montreal office.
As Carol enjoys diversification of projects and goals, she continued to eye other areas of business. After some ten years’ experience as a real estate broker for Royal LePage Champlain, she decided to study another field of finance and become a financial advisor with London Life. Currently, she is employed as Vice-President of RAM Canada Inc., a family business founded by her husband Brian Payne that services over 40 cities in Quebec, in addition to others in Ontario. Carol is looking forward to the next phase of the company’s trajectory: together with Brian, expanding the company to the rest of Canada and abroad.
A strong believer in community involvement, Carol has also served on the board of directors for the St. Patrick’s Society of Montreal that promotes the Irish community in Montreal.
