With over ten years’ experience in the renewable energy industry, Mark arrived in Montreal from Derry in 2007, to help set up the North American HQ for TCI Renewables and prepare and submit projects into the Hydro Quebec RFP for 2000MW of wind power. After successfully securing these contracts, Mark sought out new projects in Ontario and is currently developing over 450MW of wind energy, under Ontario’s Feed-in Tariff (FIT) Program. Mark is also currently looking at other renewable ventures in solar, hydro and wind across Canada and the US.
A rugby enthusiast, Mark quickly joined the Montreal Irish RFC as a player and became president of the club from 2010-2012, winning three provincial titles during this term. Now as VP Executive, Mark is focusing his efforts on developing a mini-rugby program for kids aged 4-12 to ensure the long-term sustainability of the club. Mark resides downtown Montreal with his wife Joanne and young daughter Olivia.
